Amazon, Audi & DHL testing out "delivery lockers"

Postby AKS4 » Wed Apr 22, 2015 3:50 pm

Apparently in Germany, Audi, Amazon and package delivery company DHL are testing out a pilot program in which you can have your items delivered to your trunk. I find it interesting and a bit inventive, but also quite a bit creepy.

From the article, essentially the DHL delivery driver will have a "one time use" key code to open up your car to place the package in the trunk/hatch.

Not sure I'd trust the UPS guy to do this, let alone how to decipher where the car is. "Shipping Address: Parking Space 4A, Downtown Transit center Parking Garage, Level 6, etc..."
